DESCRIPTION:IEEE BIT Student Branch conducted an event named "Code Electro
RUN" on 15th May\, 2024. The event could accommodate both Circuital and IT
branch students with Soldering for Circuital branch students and Coding R
elay for IT branch students. They had to form a team of 3 members each. Th
e event tested not only their team spirit and coding/soldering skills but
also tested their speed and accuracy.\n\n[]\n\nThe response was overwhelmi
ng and the number of registered teams were 21 for soldering and 12 for cod
ing. The event was conducted smoothly and winners were chosen based on the
ir time and output.\n\nIn Round 1 of the coding relay\, teams were tasked
with identifying three missing lines in a provided code snippet\, which is
accompanied by the expected output. Alongside this challenge\, teams must
 complete a Google Form containing multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank q
uestions. They have 20 minutes to work collaboratively without any hints o
r clues. The first seven teams to accurately complete the task with the hi
ghest scores moved on to the next round.\n\nRound 2 involved a relay-style
coding challenge where a problem statement is given to the first member o
f each team. Each team member worked on the code for 8 minutes before pass
ing it to the next member. This process continued until all members have c
ontributed\, totaling 40 minutes. The objective was to achieve the correct
output using a consistent approach throughout the relay. In the event of
a tie\, the team with the shortest and cleanest code wins.\n\n[] []\n\nFor
soldering relay students had to form a team of 3 members each. The event
tested not only their team spirit and soldering skills but also tested the
ir speed and accuracy. Initially one of the team member would start solder
ing the components according to the circuit provided for 15 minutes. After
which the second team member would start off from where the previous team
-mate left off for another 15 minutes. The same was repeated for intervals
of 10 minutes for a total time of 1 hour.\n\nThe team with an accurately
functioning circuit\, neat and compact soldering design would be awarded a
s the winners followed by the runners. The circuit provided was basic "Bre
ak Failure Indicator Circuit" to allow student from any year to be able to
participate keeping a common level of difficulty throughout.\n\n[] [] []\
n\nOverall the event was a great success with a large number of registrati
ons and extremely positive feedback from the participants.\n\nRoom: 705\,
