DESCRIPTION:Special Presentation by Dr. Alexandru Vulpe (UPB\, Romania)\n\n
Hosted by the Future Networks Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (
AIML) Working Group\n\nDate/Time: Thursday\, June 20th\, 2024 @ 12:00 UTC\
n\nTopic:\n\nAI-based Software Innovations for 5G and Beyond\n\nAbstract:\
n\nAs we advance into the era of 5G and explore the possibilities of 6G\,
the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into mobile networks is be
coming increasingly important. This talk will delve into the transformativ
e potential of AI-based software and network applications in enhancing the
capabilities\, efficiency\, and security of 5G and future mobile networks
. We will explore new developments\, potential challenges\, and emerging o
pportunities in the field. The topics will cover AI's role in network opti
mization\, predictive maintenance\, service quality management\, and secur
ity enhancements. Attendees will gain insights into how AI-driven strategi
es can lead to smarter\, more reliable\, and sustainable network infrastru
ctures\, thereby shaping the future of telecommunications.\n\nSpeaker:\n\n
Dr. Alexandru Vulpe\, IEEE SA member\, has a PhD since 2014 and has a broa
d technical expertise with over 15 years’ involvement in international a
nd European research projects. His research ranges from algorithms for wir
eless communications\, 5G and beyond 5G networks to Quantum Communications
\, AI\, Big Data\, Security\, Blockchain and Internet-of-Things. He is the
author and co-author of over 100 scientific papers related to Big Data\,
Security\, Cloud Computing\, 4G and 5G/B5G systems\, as well as Machine-to
-Machine (M2M) communications. Furthermore\, he has managed and participat
ed in over 40 research projects (over 15 international projects). He is a
