DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\nThis workshop will look into the role of in particu
lar the grid-forming inverters that are providing grid services from hybri
d and renewable energy plants\, their prevailing and upcoming requirements
and future possibilities. Speakers from industry will highlight the trend
s and real-life challenges experienced today and emphasize the urgent need
for future\, reliable deployment of such services. A key aspect to bestow
confidence in the application will be the qualification and validation of
these services and the associated equipment on a system level. This works
hop will cover how these validation requirements translate into the testin
g of the actual equipment within a system context. ERIGrid2 experts and re
searchers will present their findings and ongoing research in this area. T
here will also be a unique opportunity to witness how such testing is perf
ormed in an advanced research and testing laboratory as well as network wi
th colleagues on this emerging topic.\n\nSome additional information:\n\n-
A lab tour of AIT facilities is included in the program\n- A social activ
ity in Vienna is foreseen afterwards\n\n***Note: Due to limited seating ca
pacity we cannot guarantee that your registration will allow for your part
icipation in the workshop. Workshop participants will receive an official
 confirmation.\n\nOrganizers\n\n- [H2020 ERIGrid 2.0 project](https://erigr
