DESCRIPTION:The IEEE Pikes Peak Young Professionals (YPs) program is excite
 d to announce our Fall programming\, which seeks to connect YPs within the
  section and expand engagement within the IEEE community. The program will
  feature a series of events aimed at young researchers/professionals and s
 tudents with tools to succeed as early career professionals. The program w
 ill culminate in the Inaugural Best Student Presentation Competition in th
 e IEEE Pikes Peak Section.\n\nOur kick-off event will introduce attendees 
 to how to present technical matters effectively in a talk given by Daniell
 e Griffiths\, a Fellow at Texas Instruments. More detailed information abo
 ut the talk can be found below.\n\nAbstract: You’ve spent years at unive
 rsity honing your technical knowledge\, but this alone is not enough to en
 sure success in your career. Communications skills are essential to achiev
 ing your goals. You need to be able to express your ideas clearly so that 
 everyone understands their value. This talk will describe the four steps o
 f preparing to give a technical presentation and give you tips to make you
 r presentation have the impact it deserves. The material is targeted towar
 ds preparing to give your first high visibility presentation\, such as ISS
 CC\, but the points can be adapted to a wide range of situations\, from pr
 esenting your ideas to your department head\, your thesis advisor\, or at
