DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\n\nAs robotics and AI technologies continue to advanc
e rapidly\, the relationship between humans and robots (empowered with AI)
is undergoing profound transformations. In this talk\, the evolution of h
uman-robot relationships will be reviewed. Technological advances\, includ
ing the research conducted over the last 20 years at UTS\, will be discuss
ed. This talk will then discuss the dynamics of collaboration between huma
ns and robots\, examining issues such as trust\, role change\, human-centr
ed design\, computational modelling\, and interface. To shape the future o
 f human-robot relationships\, questions about ethical considerations\, cul
tural perspectives\, and regulations to govern the development and deploym
ent of intelligent robotics technology will be discussed.\n\nSpeaker(s): P
