DESCRIPTION:As the world is generating zettabytes of Data\, IEEE has launch
ed new projects emanating from the\nIEEE/TA Data Strategy Ad Hoc committee
. These new projects leverage IEEE’s Data to create value for\ncustomers
worldwide. They also offer opportunities for researchers and industries t
o share data in\norder to accelerate development cycles. The first is a pr
oduct called IEEE DataPort\, a searchable\nrepository of research Data. Th
e Data can be linked to the author’s IEEE publication and anyone can\nup
load Datasets. The Datasets get screened for the metadata and Quality and
are assigned a DOI\n(Digital Object Identifier). IEEE DataPort has a broad
spectrum of users numbering over 8.5 million\nand is adding 20\,000 every
day. The second is an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning based\ncom
bination Search and Knowledge engine. It uses NLP (Natural Language Proces
sing) and RAG\n(Retrieval Augmented Generation) artificial intelligence.
“AskIEEE” is a pilot that allows users to ask\nquestions in their own
format and gets answers based on IEEE information that has been ingested\n
into the engine. This talk will present capabilities and successes of thes
e first two efforts and discuss\nopportunities to expand the reach to memb
 ers and researchers worldwide.\n\nSpeaker(s): Rakesh Kumar\, \n\nVirtual:
