DESCRIPTION:ComFix 2024 is an innovative communication technology ideathon
organized by the IEEE Communications Society Student Branch Chapter of the
University of Moratuwa. Our mission is to foster creative thinking and en
hance the technological skills of undergraduates by challenging them to ad
dress real world problems through the application of communication technol
ogy. This competition consisted of three main stages.\nIn the first stage\
, participants (either individual or group) must identify a real world iss
ue that can be effectively addressed using communication technology. The i
dentified problem can span various sectors such as agriculture\, transport
 ation\, education\, climate change\, industrial applications\, medicine an
d science. After successfully completing the next stage\, selected partici
pants are required to develop a novel and practical solution. This stage f
ocused on planning the implementation\, evaluating alternatives and consid
ering the feasibility of the solution. Participants must clearly demonstra
te how communication technology will be incorporated into their solution.\
nIn final sage\, 10 teams from stage 2 will advance to the final stage\, w
here they will present their solutions to an expert panel. This presentati
on should encapsulate the entire journey from problem identification to th
e proposed solution\, highlighting the role of communication technology\,
feasibility\, challenges and potential impact. Top three teams were select
ed and announced as the winners of the ideathon.\n\n[]\n\nAgenda: \nEvent
