  This past spring\, we held an EYH Cafe (9-12th grade) event called &quot;Start
  Your STEM Engines&quot; which involved learning the mechanics and techniques o
 f radio-controlled cars. We also held our first-ever NSF-sponsored summer 
 course on the topic of [Bioengineering and Instrument Development](https:/
 /eyhsandiego.org/eyh-cafe/) led by the University of California\, Irvine w
 hich was not only a TON of fun\, but a great experience as determined by o
 ur pre- and post-survey results.\n\nUpcoming we will be holding our first 
 ever &quot;[Industry Exploration Series](https://eyhsandiego.org/eyh-college/)&quot;
  event for the EYH College program\, which provides undergraduate and grad
 uate women the opportunity to explore careers in our local\, richly divers
 e STEM industry. The event on Sept. 20 is at Northrop Grumman&#39;s facilities
 \, where participants will be able to network with Northrop Grumman staff 
 and learn more about their engineering and math-related careers. We are ex
 cited for the potential of engaging students with industry professionals\,
  offering them invaluable insights into potential career paths\, and foste
 ring meaningful connections that could shape their futures in STEM.\n\nLas
 tly\, I am hopeful we can again apply for the support of IEEE for our conf
