DESCRIPTION:On October 5th\, 2024\, the IEEE NSU Student Branch WIE Affinit
y Group in collaboration with the IEEE NSU IAS Student Branch Chapter arra
nged a very interactive and informative workshop titled "Crafting User Cen
tric Designs: A UI/UX Workshop". The workshop sought to introduce particip
ants to the basic concepts of UI/UX design while equipping them with hands
-on skills in designing intuitive and visually attractive digital products
.\n\n[]\n\nThe workshop commenced with an introduction of Maisha Wadud Ana
nya \,a skilled UI/UX Engineer and Game Developer at TETO. First\, she sha
red her experiences within the field and made presentations of the UI/UX d
esign process more realistic for the audience. After some welcoming remark
s\, the instructor led a discussion-exercising session interactively\, whe
re participants could reflect on design elements they see or encounter in
applications every day. During the workshop\, participants were able to le
arn some of the key principles of UI/UX design\, focusing on the user-cent
ered design approaches & usability. They were introduced to practical desi
gn tools such as “Figma”\, where live demonstrations of how to create
and optimize user interfaces were done. Although participants wanted more
of the session but due to time shortage the session wrapped up with a very
interactive question-and-answer session in which the participants got an
ample opportunity to ask questions and even got design projects reviewed.\
n\nTo conclude the session\, Suraiya Islam Meem\, Chair of IEEE NSU Studen
t Branch WIE Affinity Group\, and Tabassom Nabila\, Chair of IEEE NSU IAS
SBC\, presented the instructor with a token of appreciation for her valuab
le contributions. The session officially ended at 5:45 PM with a group pho
to to commemorate the successful event. This workshop equipped participant
s with a solid foundation in UI/UX design principles and practical tools\,
empowering them to apply these skills in their future projects.\n\nRoom:
