Technical Talk and kindly invites the chapter members and guests to atten
d the presentation.\n\nTitle: “Practical Paths to Fusion Energy”\n\nPr
esenter: Michael Delage\, Chief Technology Officer\, General Fusion\, Burn
 aby\, BC\n\nDate: Monday\, February 27 2017\n\nTime: 12:00PM to 1:00 PM (L

\nBurnaby-based General Fusion is developing the fastest\, most practical
 path to commercial fusion energy - a clean\, safe\, abundant and on-demand
form of energy that\, when harnessed\, could provide a nearly unlimited s
ource of power with zero CO2 emissions. The company is combining state-of-
the-art plasma physics with more traditional technology such as gas driven
pistons in the pursuit of a power plant that can be practically implement
ed at commercial scale. In this talk\, Chief Technology Officer Michael De
lage will discuss the progress of fusion energy development\, the challeng
es it faces\, and the technology being developed here in BC that could lea
 d to clean energy\, everywhere\, forever.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Dipendra Rai
