DESCRIPTION:IEEE Chandigarh University Student Branch organized a gala even
 t\, IEEE DAY 2024\, on the 10th of October 2024 at D1 Auditorium and Fount
 ain Park. 🌟\n\nThe event began at 9:00 AM with an insightful talk by ou
 r distinguished guest\, Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Kumar Mittal\, on the significan
 ce of data protection and cybersecurity. His engaging session set the tone
  for the day\, making it both informative and interactive. Following this\
 , Er. Sugandha Sharma\, Branch Counsellor of IEEE CUSB and Dr. Ruchika Gup
 ta\, Chapter Advisor of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society\, deli
 vered a session on the benefits of IEEE for students\, emphasizing how IEE
 E supports members throughout their careers. The discussion continued with
  PVC Prof. (Dr.) Manpreet Singh Manna\, who shared his journey within IEEE
  and how the platform influenced his career growth.\n\nAn interactive sess
 ion with students followed\, where the executive team of the IEEE Chandiga
 rh University Student Branch was introduced. They committed to supporting 
 students in gaining memberships and offering volunteer opportunities. The 
 first half of the event concluded with the IEEE Star Awards\, recognizing 
 students for their contributions as IEEE volunteers. Awards and certificat
 es were also presented to the winners of the IEEE Day pre-event competitio
 ns.\n\nIn the second half of the day\, the celebration continued at Founta
 in Park starting at 3:30 PM. It featured cultural performances and a lucky
  draw where students won exciting prizes\, including novels\, tote bags\, 
 magazines\, and AirPods. A cake-cutting ceremony commemorated the first gl
 obal gathering of engineers in 1884\, celebrating technical ideas. This ma

 ing them to IEEE membership benefits.\n- National Education Program Talk: 
 This event\, organized by IEEE Consumer Technology Society CUSB\, featured
  Garvit Nama\, Secretary of IEEE CTSOC CUSB\, on 2nd October 2024\, with E
 r. Priyanka Tyagi as the guest speaker. The talk focused on understanding 
 the National Education Policy 2020\, attracting students and faculty membe
 rs for insights into its impact on education.\n- Azure AI Influencer Day: 
 Hosted on 3rd October 2024 by IEEE Computer Society CUSB\, this event focu
 sed on the intersection of cloud computing and AI using Microsoft Azure. I
 t included talks by industry experts like Manmeet Singh\, Rajesh Panchal\,
  Vinay Pratap\, and Saket Kumar\, covering topics from Azure’s architect
 ure to ethical considerations in AI.\n- Code for Earth: The Code for Earth
  Ideathon was a two-round competition fostering environmental solutions. O
 rganized by IEEE CUSB Computer Society\, it began with PowerPoint presenta
 tions and culminated in live presentations. Finalists presented ideas on t
 hemes like sustainable resource management\, and winners were recognized f
 or their innovative contributions.\n- Mental Health Talk and Activity: Hel

 ciety CUSB on 5th October 2024\, this session introduced commutative progr
 amming and its applications in parallel computing. It focused on leveragin
 g commutative operations to enhance efficiency and scalability in distribu
 ted systems.\n- Poster Making Competition: Held on 8th October 2024\, this
  competition was jointly organized by IEEE Consumer Technology Society and
  IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. Participants created posters on 
 the theme of IEEE Day colors\, blending creativity with IEEE’s values of
  innovation and diversity.\n- Treasure Hunt: Conducted by IEEE Consumer Te
 chnology Society (CTSoc) on 6th October 2024\, the Treasure Hunt offered a
 n engaging experience. Nandini\, Vice Chairperson of IEEE CTSoc\, hosted t
 he event\, which included three competitive rounds. Top 5 winners received

 ld from 1st to 8th October 2024 by IEEE Photonics Society\, aimed to raise
  awareness of sustainability through photography. Participants submitted i
 mages aligned with the 17 SDGs\, and winners were awarded a visit to TIFR 
 Mumbai.\n- SDG Visionaries Ideathon: Held on 9th October 2024\, this event
  focused on innovative solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SD
 Gs). With 25 teams participating\, students collaborated to address global
  challenges. The winning team was awarded an opportunity to visit TIFR Mum
