 you to attend the second CSS Day on October 21-25\, 2024. The theme for th
 is CSS Day is &quot;Control Enabling a Carbon Neutral World”. CSS Day is a se
 ries of events celebrating CSS&#39;s impact on technology\, education\, and so
 ciety. It is dedicated to reaching out and engaging our community and is d
 esignated to expand CSS visibility and diversity. Through week-long activi
 ties\, our community will showcase CSS research themes\, membership activi
 ties\, and outreach and diversity progress\n------------------------------
 ---------------------------------\n\nCSS Day Details\n\nVarious online and
  in-person events have been planned to bring the community together to con
 nect\, reflect\, and celebrate.\n\nCSS Day events\n\nPresidents&#39; round tab
 le\n\nA round table chaired by CSS President Magnus Egerstedt\, with the p
 articipation of past CSS presidents sharing their perspectives on the past
 \, present\, and future of CSS\, will kick off the CSS Day on a high note.
 \nControl history forum: Led by Prof. Alberto Isidori\, the CSS History St
 anding Committee chair\, this forum will walk us through the history lane 
 of our field.\n\nTechnical Sessions sponsored by IEEE CSS Technical Commit
 tees with many addressing the theme of the event\n\nOver the week\, select
 ed webinars featuring research groups around the world will showcase proje
 cts that are representative of CSS impact. Research groups from Asia\, Nor
 th America\, Europe\, and Australia will tell their stories.\n\nChapter/me
 mbership activities\n\nChapters will organize local outreach activities\, 
 seminars or workshops\, industry visits or showcases\, competitions\, or s
 tudent events — with the opportunity to share them with the entire CSS c
 ommunity.\nAn industry session including industry panelists from around th
 e world. A student oriented session\n\nThe planning of the CSS Day is unde
 rway\n\nLed by a task force with the following members leading different a
 ctivities:\n\n- Ian Petersen (CSS VPTA\, chair)\n- Kristin Pettersen (CSS 
 VPMA\, co-chair)\n- Afef Fekih (Women in Engineering\, WiC)\n- Jonathan Ho
