DESCRIPTION:This is a hybrid in-person and online event. Pre-registration i
s required for either.\n\nPLEASE NOTE: This talk replaces our earlier SCOR
E talk which needed to be cancelled.\n\nThis talk will explore the evoluti
on of traditional data warehouses into modern lakehouses\, driven by advan
cements in AI and machine learning (ML). Included will be an examination o
f the limitations of first-generation data warehouses\, which were optimiz
ed for structured data and batch processing\, but which struggled with the
unstructured\, real-time data required for AI applications. These warehou
ses have evolved into data lakes to support the increased demands of AI/ML
workloads\, while addressing their challenges for business intelligence (
BI).\n\nIn this talk\, Suresh Bysani will describe the lakehouse architect
ure\, which integrates the best of data lakes and warehouses by offering a
unified platform for real-time analytics and ML. The talk will also dive
into the latest in-product analytics development\, as well as how AI-drive
n queries are reshaping how organizations provide insights directly throug
h their products by leveraging AI for more interactive and intelligent dec
 ision-making.\n\nSpeaker(s): Suresh Bysani\, \n\n673 South Milpitas Blvd.\
