DESCRIPTION:With incorporating the introduction of mathematical aspects\, d
ata science\, and AI to university education\, many universities are faced
with the task of hiring faculty staff and designing the content of their
courses. Since its foundation\, the Open University of Japan\, to which I
belong\, has managed to meet the changing needs in society. In April 2021
\, the Open University of Japan started to distribute distance learning co
urses of literacy in mathematical aspects\, data science\, and AI for stud
ents of other universities in Japan. In particular\, we have designed a co
urse on ethical issues\, which can be taken by university students all ove
 r Japan.\n\nCo-sponsored by: IEICE-SITE\, IPSJ-EIP\n\nSpeaker(s): Prof. Ta
