DESCRIPTION:Joint IEEE MTT-S NH Chapter / Association of Old Crows\, Granit
e State Chapter Meeting\n\nDistingueshed Microwave Lecture on “Current R
esearch and Development of Wireless Power Transfer via Radio Waves and the
Application” by Dr. Naoki Shinohara\n\nAbstract\n\nTheory\, technologie
s\, applications\, and current R&D status of the wireless power transfer (
WPT) will be presented. The talk will cover both the far-field WPT via rad
io waves\, especially beam-type and ubiquitous-type WPT\, and energy harve
sting from broadcasting waves. The research of the WPT was started from th
e far-field WPT via radio waves\, in particular the microwaves in 1960s. I
n recent years this became a hot topic again due to the rapid growth of wi
reless devices. Theory and technologies of antenna and circuits will be pr
esented in case of beam-type and ubiquitous-type WPT. The industrial appli
cations and current R&D status of the WPT via radio waves will be also pre
sented.\n\nNote: Registration is required by March 28\, 5:00PM. Please pro
vide country of citizenship in the "Special Request" field on the registra
tion page.\n\nIf Non-US citizen\, please also email the following informat
ion to donsherwood@ieee.org\n\nCountry of Citizenship\n\nCompany Name\n\nC
ompany City\n\nStreet Address\n\nPassport number\n\nPhone number\n\nThis i
nformation is needed to expidite the additional paperwork required for for
eign visitor access to BAE Systems' facility\n\nSpeaker(s): Dr. Naoki Shin
ohara\, \, Dr. Naoki Shinohara\, \n\nAgenda: \n12:00 PM to 1:15PM: Noon Ti
