DESCRIPTION:Abstract: This talk will cover the research on the fabrication
and application of novel polymer fibres in my lab. Applying the fibre draw
ing technique to unusual materials or combinations of materials opens up a
range of new applications. Examples that will be discussed include drawin
g arrays of metal filaments in a dielectric to make metamaterials and draw
ing very low Young’s modulus polymers for wearable sensors.\n\n[]\n\nSim
