DESCRIPTION:The Resource\nPerson Dr. M.N. Reddy\, Retd. Senior Scientist\,
Laser Science & Technology Center (LASTEC)\, DRDO\, New Delhi\, has delive
red the lecture to the students of I-B.Tech. CSE-IOT.\n\nThe lecture aimed
to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application
s in these fields. The lecture was attended by approximately 61 (sixty one
) students\, faculty members from various disciplines\, including Physics
and CSE- AIML & IOT. Attendees left with a greater understanding of curren
t trends in Science\, Engineering & Technology.\n\n2. Objectives:\nThe mai
n objectives of the lecture were to:\n Highlight the interconnections b
etween science\, engineering\, and technology.\n Discuss current trends
and future directions in these fields.\n Foster an understanding of th
e ethical implications of technological advancements.\n\n3. Lecture Conten
t:\nDr. M.N. Reddy highlighted the need for correlation among recent devel
opments in science\, engineering\, and technology\, focusing on the rapid
advancements in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Laser Technology. These i
nterconnected fields are transforming daily life and have the potential to
revolutionize industries by improving efficiencies and addressing global
challenges. IoT enhances real-time data collection and communication\, par
ticularly in military applications\, where it boosts situational awareness
and decision- making. For example\, laser-guided systems can utilize IoT
sensor data for efficient target identification\, while IoT-enabled drones
equipped with lasers can conduct precise\nreconnaissance and strikes. The
speaker Dr. M.N. Reddy has also deliberated on “Space Technologies” i
n terms of Hubble Space Telescope and James Webb Space Telescope in the qu
est to explore the universe for our better understanding of cosmic phenome
na\, providing spectacular\nimages and invaluable data that have reshaped
theories about the formation of galaxies\, stars\, and planets. Together\,
these instruments not only deepen our knowledge of the cosmos but also de
monstrate how collaborative efforts in science and engineering can yield t
echnological innovations that expand the frontiers of human exploration an
d understanding.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Co-sponsored by IEEE NTC\, IEEE Hyd S
