DESCRIPTION:Today\, our WIE board and IEEE members visited Sadiki High Scho
ol\, one of the most historic schools in Tunisia\, established in 1875 and
often described as a museum in itself. This visit was part of our STAR Pr
ogram Challenge collaboration with the Youth Club\, where we aimed to expl
ore innovative solutions to improve education for both students and teache
rs.\n\nThe day began with an engaging presentation about IEEE\, during whi
ch we introduced our Student Branch (SB)\, its various chapters\, the WIE
board\, and our diverse range of activities. We then provided an overview
of TSYP and the STAR Program Challenge\, emphasizing the primary issues we
aim to address.\n\nFollowing this\, two WIE members delivered an inspirin
g presentation featuring the success story of Rania Toukebri\, a prominent
Tunisian woman excelling in STEM fields. This session served to motivate
and encourage the students to pursue careers in science\, technology\, eng
ineering\, and mathematics.\n\nAfter the presentation\, we had a coffee br
eak\, which provided a valuable opportunity to interact informally with st
udents and teachers. During this time\, we discussed the challenges they f
ace in education and exchanged ideas about potential improvements.\n\nThe
next segment of the day featured two workshops led by the chairs of our RA
S and CS chapters. These workshops covered Artificial Intelligence (AI) an
d robotics\, with a hands-on focus on Arduino. Both students and teachers
showed great enthusiasm\, actively participating and asking insightful que
stions about these fields.\n\nThe final part of the day was dedicated to a
n ideathon. We elaborated on the educational challenges and divided the pa
rticipants into groups for a brainstorming session to devise innovative so
lutions. Each group pitched their ideas\, which mainly revolved around cre
ating a platform to facilitate better communication and collaboration betw
een students and teachers. A panel of judges\, comprising teachers and tra
iners\, selected the winning team\, who received symbolic gifts from the W
IE board as a token of appreciation and a way to commemorate the event.\n\
nAs the day concluded\, we reflected on the meaningful connections we buil
t\, the insights we gained into the needs and challenges of the students a
nd teachers\, and the valuable learning experiences they had through the a
ctivities. It was a day filled with inspiration\, collaboration\, and the
shared goal of shaping a better future for education.\n\n[]\n\nBldg: Sadik
