DESCRIPTION:A workshop was conducted for the teachers of the Good Samaritan
School\, Jsola\, New Delhi-110025\, to introduce them to the TRYEngineeri
ng initiative and explore the possibility of preparing a STEM project prop
osal for submission to IEEE. The workshop aimed to encourage teachers to e
ngage in innovative educational practices and collaborate with students on
exciting STEM projects.\n\nThe session commenced with an opening address
by Dr. Ananthi Jebasingh\, FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN SCHO
OLS\, who highlighted the importance of fostering innovation and technical
skills in students. The Principal emphasized the significance of collabor
ating with global platforms like IEEE to enhance the school’s educationa
l offerings and provide students with real-world\, hands-on learning exper
iences.\n\nProf. A Q Ansari\, the keynote speaker\, then introduced the TR
YEngineering program. He explained that IEEE's TRYEngineering initiative i
s designed to inspire and engage students in the fields of Science\, Techn
ology\, Engineering\, and Mathematics (STEM). Through this program\, teach
ers and students have the opportunity to submit project proposals that ali
gn with engineering education and innovation. Prof. Ansari detailed the pr
ocess for submitting STEM project proposals\, which would allow participan
ts to create solutions to real-world problems while showcasing their skill
s in engineering and technology.\n\nProf. Ansari also explained the object
ives and benefits of participating in such a program\, stressing the impor
tance of creating projects that are both educational and impactful. He enc
ouraged teachers to collaborate with students in developing ideas and prop
osals that would not only fulfill the criteria of the program but also pro
mote creativity\, critical thinking\, and problem-solving skills.\n\nThe t
eachers actively participated in the discussion\, asking insightful questi
ons and showing a keen interest in how they could prepare STEM proposals f
or both students and themselves. It was agreed that the preparation of the
STEM project proposals would be a collaborative effort\, with teachers pl
aying an active role in guiding students throughout the process.\n\nThe wo
rkshop concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal for facilitating t
he event\, and to Prof. Ansari for his informative session. The teachers e
xpressed their enthusiasm for exploring the potential of the TRYEngineerin
g program and were motivated to start working on STEM project proposals fo
r submission to IEEE.\n\nOverall\, the workshop was a success\, providing
teachers with valuable insights into the TRYEngineering initiative and ins
piring them to engage in meaningful STEM projects with their students.\n\n
