DESCRIPTION:[]The PERA 2024 Workshop\, organized by IEEE PES SBC IIT Kanpur
\, concluded successfully after three action-packed days\, offering a plat
form for participants to explore the latest in energy resilience\, smart g
rid technologies\, and renewable energy integration. On Day 1 (Nov 29)\, t
he event started with a keynote address by Dr. MAKP Singh\, followed by im
pactful sessions covering biomass and bio-energy technologies and real-tim
e resilience studies using renewables and EVs. In the afternoon\, resilien
ce frameworks for power distribution networks were explored\, alongside an
engaging poster session and membership drive.\n\nDay 2 (Nov 30) centered
around advancements in power electronics and power systems with discussion
s on smart microgrids and grid harmonics. Presentations included renewable
energy integration techniques and the challenges of large-scale solar and
EV system integration in the power grid. The day also featured field visi
ts to IIT Kanpur facilities\, offering practical exposure to participants.
\n\nOn Day 3 (Dec 1)\, the final day started with technical sessions on no
n-rare earth magnet motors and cyber resiliency for smart distribution sys
tems\, led by experts like Prof. Parthasarathi Sensarma (IIT Kanpur) and P
rof. Naveen Chilamkurti (La Trobe University). The panel discussion modera
ted by Prof. Abheejeet Mohapatra featured prominent panelists from academi
a and industry\, focusing on modern energy challenges. The event wrapped u
 p with a valedictory session and a concluding field visit.\n\nPERA 2024 pr
oved to be a resounding success\, bringing together cutting-edge innovatio
ns in energy resilience and fostering collaboration among researchers\, in
dustry leaders\, and students. It served as an invaluable opportunity for
sharing knowledge and driving forward the conversation on sustainable ener
gy solutions.\n\nNB: This is an overall report of the PERA 2024 workshop (
Event). All the individual events will be reported separately.\n\n[]\n\n[]
