Emerging Applications in 6G and Beyond: A Physical Layer Perspective\n\nA
bstract:\n\nThe upcoming 6G network\, not only an improvement of existing
communication technology but also a great paradigm revolution\, is envisio
ned as the new engine of many compelling applications\, such as edge-cloud
 computing\, sensing/positioning\, e-Health\, e-Government etc. As these a
pplications are expected to carry confidential private data during communi
cations\, it becomes much necessary to guarantee the endogenous privacy aw
areness of the emerging applications. In this talk\, we aim at introducing
the fundamentals of privacy at the physical layer\, and provide novel sol
utions for considering and optimizing user anonymity. This family of anony
mization techniques residing at the physical layer brings new insight on p
roviding information privacy\, with an eye on guaranteeing heterogeneous Q
oS tailed for new 6G applications.\n\nBiography:\n\nZhongxiang Wei (Senior
Member\, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Liverpool
\, Liverpool\, U.K.\, in 2017. From Mar. 2016 to Mar. 2017\, he was with t
he I2R\, A*STAR\, as a Research Assistant. From Mar. 2018 to Dec. 2020\, h
e was with the University College London as a Research Associate. He is cu
rrently an Associate Professor at Tongji University\, China. He has author
ed more than 90 research papers in top-tier journals/conferences and 1 boo

of IEEE IWCMC'24\, the CSC Outstanding Students Abroad in 2018. He acted a
