DESCRIPTION:Objective of Program:\n\nOn the occasion of IEEE Day\, a worksh
op on the "Internet of Things (IoT)" was successfully conducted by the IEE
E Student Branch\, GGV\, on October 1\, 2024\, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in
an online mode. The event featured Prof. Dr. Rajiv Dey (Department of Elec
tronics and Communication Engineering\, Guru Ghasidas University\, Bilaspu
r\, C.G.) as the keynote speaker.\n\nThe workshop was organized by Siddhar
th Rusiya (Chairperson\, IEEE Student Branch\, GGV) and Mokshlata (Vice-Ch
airperson\, IEEE Student Branch\, GGV)\, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. S
oma Das (Head of the Department\, Electronics and Communication Engineerin
g\, Guru Ghasidas University\, Bilaspur\, C.G.) and Dr. Anil Kumar Soni (C
ounselor\, IEEE Student Branch\, GGV). The IEEE Student Branch team extend
ed a warm bilingual welcome to the participants.\n\nThe event commenced wi
th the formal inauguration\, followed by an introduction of the speaker an
d the IEEE Student Branch members. Participants were familiarized with the
impact of IEEE on society and its notable achievements. The session also
included guidance on writing and submitting research papers to IEEE.\n\nSu
bsequently\, the session was handed over to Dr. Rajiv Dey\, who delivered
an insightful lecture on the Internet of Things (IoT). He began by explain
ing the concept of IoT as a network of interconnected devices capable of s
eamless data exchange and automation. Dr. Dey elaborated on its transforma
tive potential\, emphasizing how IoT is revolutionizing industries and imp
roving everyday life. The lecture highlighted IoT’s role in enabling rea
l-time analytics\, predictive maintenance\, and autonomous systems\, drivi
ng operational efficiency and cost savings. Overall\, the lecture provided
participants with a comprehensive understanding of IoT’s applications\,
its impact on society\, and its promise to shape a smarter and more inter
connected future\n\nCo-sponsored by: Department of Electronics and communi
cation Engineering \n\nSpeaker(s): Rajiv Day\n\nAgenda: \n- Celebration of
IEEE Day with a workshop on "Internet of Things (IoT)" to explore its soc
ietal impact and applications.\n- Insightful lecture on IoT concepts\, tra
