DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop\n\nInternet of Things is the next big techno
 logy wave in the current circuits and systems world\, it is imperative for
  engineering faculty and students to keep themselves abreast with this nic
 he technology. Dr. Mohammed Arifuddin Sohel\, Vice Chair\, IEEE CAS Hydera
 bad Section and proposer of this outreach program has gained expertise in 
 this area and is offering a course on IoT which has resulted in about 15 I
 oT based undergraduate projects and an MOU with Repine signals under its W
 yzbee University program.\n\nThis workshop aims at giving hands on experie
 nce to participating faculty and students on designing of a model of “sm
 art city” with various applications like waste management\, Classroom/ H
 ome automation. It is targeted towards third and final year engineering st
 udents and IEEE branch counselors of colleges in the jurisdiction of IEEE 
 Hyderabad Section.\n\nIt is observed that the students normally lack the s
 kills to do a mini project or major project on their own and normally seek
  the help of institutes who give a readymade project to the students which
  is a huge impediment in the learning process. This three day workshop aim
 s to develop enough confidence and technical skills amongst the students t
 hat they should be able to do IoT related projects on their own without an
 y external support. Further\, on the third day of the workshops the partic
 ipants will be asked to give poster presentation on the innovative ideas t
 o solve local problems using IoT. They will be judged for this event and p
 rizes will be given to best proposal to encourage the students to work on
