DESCRIPTION:MATLAB provides a flexible\, two-way integration with many prog
ramming languages\, including Python. This feature allows different teams
to work together and use MATLAB algorithms within production software and
IT systems. If you have functions and objects in Python\, you can call the
m directly from MATLAB. This allows you to exclusively work in MATLAB with
out having to switch your programming environment. In this workshop we wil
l discuss different ways that you can incorporate Python into MATLAB. We a
lso will look at several examples and learn how to incorporate the SunPy P
ython package for solar data analysis. This will be an interactive and fun
workshop\, so do not forget to bring your laptop!\n\nJon Loftin is a Cust
omer Success Engineer at MathWorks Jon’s background is in mathematics. M
ore specifically\, implementing mathematics in a computer. He holds degree
s in mathematics: a BS from Southern Arkansas University\, a MS from the U
niversity of Arkansas\, and a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. He has had
years of teaching experience\, from teaching at the Naval Nuclear Power S
chool to teaching as an Assistant Professor. Jon’s research focus is bui
