DESCRIPTION:Background:\n\nThe IEEE Atlanta section and its AP/MTT\, ComSoc
\, IM/EMC\, EMBS\, and Computer society chapters are hosting a RF basics d
emonstration and workshop event targeted at teaching undergraduate enginee
ring students the basics of RF concepts and measurements! The world of RF
is vast and stems to various technical and research fields\, and we find i
t important to give young engineers early hands-on experience and exposure
to basic RF concepts.\n\nWho can participate?\n\nWe are looking for volun
teers with RF experience to help lead groups of 4-6 students on how to use
a vector network analyzer (VNA) and explain fundamental RF concepts like
reflection and transmission based on our planned hands-on activity of char
acterizing antennas and sensing material properties.\n\nWhere and When?\n\
 nDate/Time: April 9\, 2025 (Wednesday\, 6:30-8:30PM)\n\nLocation: 777 Atla
ntic Dr NW\, Atlanta\, GA 30332 (The HIVE Makerspace in the Van Leer Build
ing\, School of ECE)\n\nNote: We have an optional dry-run at the HIVE on M
arch 31\, 2025 at 6pm to go through the activities and tour the makerspace
location. Please RSVP for it here: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/47549
