DESCRIPTION:Microwave Sensors for Non-Invasive Glucose Monitoring\n\nDiabet
es is a major public health challenge in Egypt\, with a rising prevalence
that places a significant burden on healthcare systems and individuals. Fr
equent blood glucose monitoring is essential for effective diabetes manage
ment\, yet traditional glucometers rely on invasive finger-prick tests\, w
hich can be painful\, inconvenient\, and costly over time. Microwave sensi
ng technology presents a promising alternative by enabling non-invasive\,
continuous glucose level estimation based on the dielectric properties of
human tissue. This workshop\, held as part of the IEEE Antennas and Propag
ation Society (APS) event in Egypt\, will explore the latest advancements
 in microwave-based glucose monitoring\, including sensor design\, signal p
rocessing techniques\, and calibration methods. Experts will discuss the p
otential of this technology to reduce costs\, improve patient compliance\,
and enhance diabetes management. Additionally\, the workshop will address
challenges related to accuracy\, clinical validation\, and integration wi
th wearable devices\, fostering collaboration between researchers\, health
care professionals\, and industry leaders to advance accessible and afford
able glucose monitoring solutions.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Dalia Elsheakh\n\nS
