DESCRIPTION:As part of the Retos IELE-IELC course at Universidad de los And
 es\, I had the opportunity to introduce first-semester students to the Ins
 titute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and its role within 
 the university. My participation involved presenting IEEE&#39;s mission\, bene
 fits\, and opportunities available to students\, such as professional netw
 orking\, technical workshops\, and academic resources.\n\nDuring the sessi
 on\, I explained how joining IEEE can enhance their academic and professio
 nal journey by providing access to cutting-edge research\, mentorship prog
 rams\, and collaboration with peers in different engineering fields. Addit
 ionally\, I shared insights on IEEE student branches at Uniandes\, highlig
 hting past projects and events that have contributed to the university&#39;s e
 ngineering community.\n\nThrough this experience\, I aimed to encourage ne
 w students to actively engage in extracurricular activities\, develop thei
 r technical and leadership skills\, and become part of a global network of
