DESCRIPTION:On March 14\, 2025\, the IEEE Education Society &amp; Photonics Soc
 iety Student Branch Chapters hosted Project Expo 2K25 themed ‘Engineerin
 g Excellence for A Better Tomorrow. at St. Xavier’s Catholic College of 
 Engineering\, Nagercoil. The objective of Project Expo is to foster engine
 ering innovation in addressing real-world challenges while also creating o
 pportunities for the student community to engage in similar initiatives. T
 he event was organized by Mr. A. Mohammed Abdul Hakkim\, Chair of IEEE Pho
 tonics Society SBC-62851. Preparations for the event started six months ea
 rlier. Registration forms were sent to colleges\, inviting teams to submit
  their project abstracts by January 10\, 2025. A total of 78 colleges regi
 stered\, with 48 teams focusing on hardware projects and 30 on software pr
 ojects. The deadline for final report submission was February 28\, 2025. F
 rom these submissions\, only 23 teams advanced to the final round\, compri
 sing 13 hardware teams and 10 software teams\, representing 9 different co
 lleges. The event was commenced at 9:00 am with the registration of partic
 ipants\, followed by the inaugural function at 9:30 am. The program was co
 mpered by Rinu and Shanu. Ms. S. R. Nicksha\, an IEEE member\, read the IE
 EE Code of Ethics\, emphasizing the importance of ethical guidelines as th
 e foundation for professional conduct and decision-making in engineering a
 nd technology. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Ms. J. Raksh
 a\, Chairperson of the IEEE Education Society\, setting a positive tone fo
 r the participants and members while welcoming the speakers and the chief 
 guest. She then welcomed our beloved Alumnus: Ms. Ivana Bhagya M \, Senior
  Software Engineer\, H&amp;R Block Pvt. Ltd.\, Mr. Benny Jackson J G \, DevOps
  Engineer\, Capestart Software Pvt. Ltd.\, Ms. Ankayarkanni R \, Principal
  Engineer\, Formcept.\, Mr. Abhishek R\, Director\, Strategic Advisor\, Ch
 ekintek.\, Mr. Allen Matthew M J\, Associate Software Engineer\, Block Pvt
 . Ltd.\, Mr. Antilin Stanis S R\, Software Development Engineer\, Centizen
  Inc\, and Mr. Collins David C\, Graduate Engineer Trainee\, Data Patterns
  (India) Ltd.\n\nThe inaugural address was delivered by Rev. Fr. R. Xavier
  Raj\, Bursar of SXCCE\, who highlighted the significance of participating
  in competitions and their impact on personal growth. Subsequently\, Dr. M
 . Marsaline Beno\, Dean of Research\, delivered a heartfelt felicitation\,
  emphasizing the joy of research and how it enhances self-learning and boo
 sts knowledge. Next\, Ms. K. Mirna\, an IEEE member\, introduced the chief
  guest\, Mr. Prasanth Mohan\, Chair of IEEE Madras Young Professionals and
  Vice Chair of IEEE Computer Society Madras Chapter. He then delivered an 
 inspiring keynote session ‘Big Picture of IEEE’ emphasizing on the imp
 ortance of IEEE\, the various opportunities it offers\, and its wide contr
 ibutions to society. He also encouraged participants to become active memb
 ers of IEEE. He also encouraged the students to write papers and present t
 hem at international conferences. Finally\, The inaugural function was con
 cluded with a sincere vote of thanks by Mr. A. Mohammed Abdul Hakkim\, who
  expressed his gratitude to the speakers and participants. A short tea bre
 ak was then provided for participants and volunteers. The much-awaited pro
 ject presentations began soon after.\n\nThe competitions were held for bot
 h hardware and software projects. The judges carefully evaluated each proj
 ect\, and the participants eagerly explained their projects to everyone. A
 t 1:00 pm\, lunch was provided\, followed by a networking session at 2:00 
 pm\, where students connected with participants from various institutions.
 \n\nThe valedictory function began at 3:00 pm with a welcome address by Ms
 . C. Seldev Christopher\, Counsellor of IEEE StB-62851. This was followed 
 by the chief guest address by Mr. Prasanth Mohan\, who praised the achieve
 ments of IEEE StB-62851 in various domains\, recognizing it as one of the 
 most active student branches in Madras. He applauded the innovative projec
 ts presented at the expo. Dr. J. Maheshwaran\, Principal of SXCCE\, delive
 red a congratulatory felicitation\, appreciating the efforts of all partic
 ipants and the organizing team. A feedback session was then held\, where p
 articipants shared their feedback about the expo. The presidential address
  was delivered by Rev. Fr. S. Godwin Selva Justus\, Correspondent of SXCCE
 \, who commended the arrangements and the dedication of everyone involved 
 in making the event a success. The much-anticipated prize distribution sta
 rted with excitement. The winners of the hardware project competition are 
 Nataraj E.L. and Sujith S.M. from Sri Sai Ram Engineering College. The fir
 st runners-up are Gowtham Krishnan P\, Karthikeyan S\, Dharaneesh A. and A
 akash S from Sri Krishna College of Engineering\, followed by the second r
 unners-up\, R. Abeesh and Abishek A. from Anna University Regional Campus\
 , Coimbatore. Next\, the winners of the software project competition were 
 announced. The first prize was secured by Anto Jeffrin G.\, Bersin S.\, De
 vadharshan B.\, and Naveen Kumar S from Sathyabama Institute of Science an
 d Technology. Additionally\, two consolation prizes were awarded — one t
 o Avinash Murukanandhan\, Dillon Cruz I.\, Sahaya Sherin S.\, and Alvin Su
 dhan Vincent from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology\, and ano
 ther to Srisha T. and Jananii D. from Sri Sairam Engineering College. Fina
 lly\, Dr. A. Darwin Jose Raju\, Coordinator of IEEE StB-62851\, delivered 
 a heartfelt vote of thanks\, acknowledging the contributions of speakers\,
  judges\, participants\, and volunteers. The program concluded on a high n
 ote with the National Anthem\, leaving everyone inspired and Motivated. Th
 e event enhanced the student’s communication\, teamwork\, and presentati
 on skills while giving them the chance to expand their networking opportun
