DESCRIPTION:The excellence and impact of this initiative were globally reco
gnized\, earning the prestigious Runner-Up position in the "Best Activity/
Spotlight of the Year Award" category by IEEE PES. This international mile
stone was featured as a highlight in our Faculty of Engineering news [[fi.
udec.cl](https://fi.udec.cl/capitulo-estudiantil-ieee-pes-udec-obtiene-rec
onocimiento-internacional-en-el-pes-day-2025/)]. More than just a trophy\,
this recognition served as a pivotal accreditation tool\, validating our
student chapter's professionalism before external entities and industry le
aders. It has directly enabled us to secure more robust partnerships and e
xecute higher-impact activities that continue to define our chapter’s su
ccess to this day.\n\nThis award-winning event brought together three dist
inguished academics with extensive experience in the energy sector to shar
e their latest research on critical challenges and opportunities. The semi
nar covered high-priority topics such as electromobility\, BESS implementa
tion\, energy efficiency\, and the integration of renewable technologies\,
providing a comprehensive view of the role of innovation in driving the g
lobal energy transition.\n\nIn addition to the high-level talks\, the univ
ersity’s Electromobility Team showcased their cutting-edge electric go-k
art. This live demonstration served as a tangible bridge between academic
theory and real-world engineering\, highlighting the creativity and talent
of our students in developing sustainable transport solutions.\n\nThe eve
nt succeeded in sparking a deep interest in energy innovation among studen
ts and professionals alike. By fostering a high-level dialogue between aca
demia and industry\, we have inspired a new generation of engineers to act
ively contribute to the development of clean\, forward-thinking energy tec
hnologies\, all while consolidating IEEE PES UdeC as a world-class student
 organization.\n\n[academics]\n\nSpeaker(s): Espinosa\, \, León\, Piedra\
