DESCRIPTION:Introduction\nThe “ SPAx Ignite Young Minds ” was organized
by the BEC-IEEE Communication Society\n(SBC35261F) at Government Higher P
rimary School No.15\, Bagalkot. The workshop aimed\nto introduce school st
udents to the fascinating world of electronics through simple\, interactiv
e\nsessions. Funded by IEEE SPAx\, this outreach initiative reflected IEEE
's commitment to\nspreading technical awareness and igniting curiosity amo
ng young minds.\n\nObjective\nTo introduce basic electronics concepts to s
chool students in an engaging manner.\nTo provide hands-on experience with
simple electronic components and circuits.\nTo promote STEM education and
encourage students to explore technology.\nTo contribute to community dev
elopment through educational outreach.\n\nBrief Description\nThe session b
egan with a warm welcome and an overview of the workshop’s objectives.\n
Volunteers from BEC-IEEE ComSoc conducted the session with great enthusias
m.\n\nKey highlights included:\n\nIntroduction to basic electronic compone
nts like resistors\, LEDs\, and batteries.\nDemonstrations of simple circu
its such as lighting an LED and making a buzzer sound.\nIntroduction to Ar
duino and ESP platforms\, where students learned about\nmicrocontrollers a
nd saw practical applications of programming and hardware\nintegration.\nH
ands-on interaction where students could assemble circuits on breadboards.
\n\nA special address was delivered by Dr. Jayashree D. Mallapur\, Head of
the Department of\nElectronics and Communication Engineering and Faculty
Advisor\, BEC-IEEE ComSoc SBC .\nHer insightful talk captivated the studen
ts\, sparking their curiosity in the field of electronics and\nmotivating
them to explore the endless possibilities that technology offers.\nThe eve
nt was funded by IEEE SPAx (Student Professional Activities)\, enabling re
source\nprocurement and smooth execution.\n\nConclusion\nThe workshop was
a resounding success\, sparking interest in electronics among young studen
ts.\nIt not only served as a valuable learning experience but also inspire
d many to consider careers\nin science and engineering. The initiative was
appreciated by both students and school staff\, and\nthe support from SPA
