DESCRIPTION:First Robotics World Competition. Brian Page represented IEEE a
t this event. There were 39 students and 14 parents plus 7 mentors who att
ended this event. There were over 50\,000 people at this event and numerou
s interactions throughout the competition. The Important issues to recogni
ze are as follows.\n\n- Quality Mentorship is of value with support financ
ially\, parents\, boosters and motivation of the students.\n- It takes tim
e to develop a program. Midtown HS went from nearly last in the state of G
a to qualifying for the world robotics competition in 8th place. This is o
ver a period of 3 years.\n- There is a good mix of students including mino
rities and girls that are engaged in STEM activities.\n\nThe Midtown HS te
am made it to the Playoffs at the world competition and finished in the to
 p 10% in the world.\n\nhttps://frc-events.firstinspires.org/2025/CMPTX\n\n
