 ature preserve\, and 30 miles of self guided trails full of wildlife. The 
 native preserve is home to a population of chickadees that you can hand-fe
 ed.\n\nMendon Ponds Park was named a Natural\, National Landmark due to it
 s glacial landforms that were created by 4 major glaciers\, some 12\,000 -
  14\,000 years ago. These glaciers were from 5\,000-10\,000 feet thick and
