 ecarbonized economy will present a relevant challenge and a crucial transf

 oming a moral commitment.\nAs a society\, we are part of the decarbonized 
 energy process that goes through the electrification of the economy and it
  is supported by renewables within a sustainable energy model.\nThis means
  a change of paradigm which heads towards an immediate exciting future ful
 l of challenges at all levels associated with flexibility in its widest co
 nception. It is assumed that a change of paradigm\, that requires changing
  the focus from active based asset management towards the digitalization t
 hat ensures resiliency and security for the future electric systems.\nIn t
 his context\, we need to contribute and stimulate the exchange of ideas fr
 om different perspectives and experiences\, creating a framework of reflec
 tion through these series of webinars. The expected benefit and impact is 
 the identification of opportunities within the complexity associated with

 rom the Australian “real-world lab”\n\nContenido: With deeper and deep
 er penetration of variable renewable energy sources (RES) and distributed 
 energy resources (DER) across the world\, new challenges are emerging in t
 erms of their grid and market integration. In this lecture we will illustr
 ate these challenges from a techno-economic perspective\, with focus on se
 curity\, reliability and resilience requirements when operating power syst
 ems and markets with ultra-deep penetration of RES and DER\, and with the 
 support of real experiences from Australia\, and particularly South Austra
 lia\, which has already exhibited net-zero grid operation in the past coup
 le of years. We will then discuss several technical\, commercial and regul
 atory solutions and opportunities that are being deployed or considered\, 
 ranging from widespread adoption of both highly distributed and large-scal
 e batteries to the development of “clean super-power” plans based on g
