DESCRIPTION:This talk will present the integration of nuclear-renewable int
egrated systems to support energy infrastructure. Different coupling mecha
nisms will be presented to support different installations and user requir
ements. Design and operation strategies and various technologies will be i
llustrated to deploy nuclear-renewable hybrid energy systems and their use
for different applications in city\, urban\, and remote communities. Perf
ormance measures are proposed to evaluate different strategies. The talk w
ill include techno-economic evaluation of interconnected nuclear-renewable
micro hybrid energy systems with combined heat and power\, and their impa
ct on a number of implementation strategies. Stratgies will be illustrated
to deploy nuclear- renewable hybrid energy system (N-R HES)\, with consid
erations on scalability\, capital cost\, project lifetime\, and other impl
ementation parameters. Nuclear technologies will be presented\, including
Small Modular Reactor (SMR) or Micro Modular Reactor (MMR)\, as integrated
within micro energy grids. Resiliency and performance measures will be di
scussed in view of a number of operation and control strategies to meet us
 er requirements.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Università di Pavia\n\nSpeaker(s): H
