DESCRIPTION:The PELS DAY – INEP UFSC was an event organized by the IEEE U
FSC Student Branch and the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Student C
hapter\, aiming to bring together students\, professors\, and professional
s in the field to share knowledge\, build connections\, and discuss releva
nt topics in power electronics and related areas. The event took place at
the INEP/UFSC Auditorium on June 11th.\n\nIn the morning\, the opening tal
k was delivered by Hector Silveira\, who discussed "Well-being and Mental
Health in the Life of a Researcher"\, followed by a remote presentation by
Heverton Pereira about SOBRAEP and strategies for indexing the Brazilian
Power Electronics Journal. Then\, Telles Lazzarin presented his insights o
n Power Electronics Applied to Wind Systems.\n\nIn the afternoon\, Denizar
Martins gave an overview of the history of Power Electronics in Brazil\,
followed by Roberto Coelho who shared his academic and professional journe
y in engineering. Closing the technical agenda\, Leandro Becker presented
on Embedded Real-Time Systems.\n\nIn addition to the technical sessions\,
the event featured networking moments during coffee breaks. PELS DAY provi
ded a space for learning\, exchanging experiences\, and strengthening ties
between students and the technical-scientific community in power electron
ics.\n\nFLORIANOPOLIS\, Santa Catarina\, Brazil
