DESCRIPTION:Progress in Radar Research 2025\n\nThe 2025 Workshop on Progres
s in Radar Research (PIRR 2025) is an opportunity for radar researchers to
share their current research and interact with their research peer group.
The workshop is proudly supported by IEEE Aerospace and Electronic System
s Society.\n\nThis workshop will be held on Thursday 13 – Friday 14 Nove
mber 2025\, at the University of Adelaide\, North Terrace\, Adelaide.\n\nA
bout PIRR\n\nThe PIRR series of workshops is designed to engage the commun
ity and provide a venue for researchers to present their work in radar and
allied fields. It complements the International Radar Conferences that ru
n in the “3” and “8” years. Past workshops have attracted over 100
registrants. PIRR 2025 will follow a similar format to that of previous P
IRR workshops\, with 2 days of presentations and discussion.\n\nThe use of
the term Progress in the workshop title indicates that the series invites
a stocktake on current\, not necessarily completed\, research and is not
only a forum for reports of completed work. It also provides an opportunit
y for peer exposure and tuning of formal papers intended for subsequent pr
esentation at a conference or for journal publication. The event will be h
eld on the North Terrace campus of the University of Adelaide.\n\nTopics o
 f interest\n\nPIRR 2025 topics include research into any area of radar\, t
racking or related areas of science or technology. Consistent with the int
ent of the workshop series\, PIRR 2025 welcomes proposals for presentation
s in areas outside radar which bear on issues faced by radar researchers.
This year a special session on HF radar will be held on the second day.\n\
nStudent Travel Scholarships\n\nTravel scholarships* of $500 are available
to students to participate in PIRR 2025. To qualify for the scholarship\,
the recipient must be currently enrolled as a research student at an Aust
ralian University and have an accepted abstract to the workshop. The schol
arships are competitive in nature\, with their award determined by the tec
hnical committee.\n\n*The number of scholarships will depend on amount of
workshop sponsorship.\n\nCall for Abstracts\n\nOffers of presentations sho
uld be made by submitting\, by the due date\, a one-page abstract by email
to PIRR2025@adelaide.edu.au. The call for abstracts flyer is [here (pdf)]
\n\nSelection will be made by the workshop technical program committee on
the basis of the submitted abstract and no formal written paper is require
 d. No workshop proceedings will be produced but authors are encouraged (bu
t not required) to make their presentation or other material available to
attendees after the workshop via a website.\n\nKey dates\n\nCut-off date f
