DESCRIPTION:Computational microscopy is at the intersection of computer sci
ence and optics\, and extends the capabilities\nof the classical optical m
icroscopy with the help of computation. In particular\, the complexity of
imaging\nsystems moves from the optical arrangements to the computational
schemes\, which mainly consists into the\nsmart manipulation of raw data t
o achieve high-quality imaging capabilities. Among label-free microscopies
\,\nquantitative phase imaging is one of the most explored\, as it encoded
bio-physical information of imaged samples\nthrough the measurement of th
e refractive index. Other computational microscopy technologies include su
perresolution\nmicroscopy and Fourier Ptychographic microscopy in which th
e combination of the information of\nseveral images\, captured using optic
al diversity (e.g. multiple illumination orientations) forms an aggregated
\n2D or 3D image through iterative algorithms (e.g. phase retrieval) or ma
