DESCRIPTION:The International Day of the African Child (IDAC) 2025 and IEEE
  Kenya Sustainable Engineering Challenge (IKSEC) 2025 is a collaborative\,
  student-led STEM outreach initiatives under the IEEE Region 8 Collaborati
 ve Student Initiatives Booster Program. Hosted by the IEEE Kenyatta Univer
 sity Student Branch in partnership with other leading IEEE Student Branche
 s and Young Professionals in Kenya\, the event is scheduled for Friday\, J
 une 20\, 2025\, at Mama Ngina University College\, Gatundu Constituency\, 
 Kiambu County.\n\nAligned with World Environment Day\, the initiative will
  bring together over 100 junior high school students\, IEEE students and Y
 P members\, and industry mentors to co-create real-world solutions to pres
 sing environmental issues. Themed &quot;Innovating for a Greener Future&quot;\, the 
 program will feature a sustainable engineering hackathon\, technical works
 hops\, interactive science booths\, and mentorship panels that empower you
 ng learners to explore careers in engineering\, climate resilience\, and g
 reen technology.\n\nThis year’s edition marks a significant scale-up fro
 m previous mentorship-only engagements\, introducing practical project dev
 elopment\, prototyping\, and pitching by the students\, supported by IEEE 
 mentors. The initiative aims to build long-term impact by setting up IEEE 
 STEM Clubs in participating schools and fostering early interest in engine
 ering careers. Through strong cross-university collaboration\, hands-on le
 arning\, and meaningful community impact\, IDAC &amp; IKSEC 2025 exemplifies t
 he IEEE mission of advancing technology for humanity\, starting from the g
