 need for flexible\nload management present both opportunities and challeng
 es for modern power systems. This presentation\nwill explore advanced meth
 ods for flexible loads\, such as high-temperature steam electrolysis (HTSE
 ). It will\nexamine both centralized and decentralized control architectur
 es and communication protocols to enable\nseamless integration of hardware
  from different vendors. A case study of INL’s 30kW Emerald System will\
 nbe presented. Finally\, the presentation will discuss an upcoming demonst
 ration of coordinated control\nbetween HTSE and distributed energy resourc
 es for the provision of ancillary services to the grid.\n\nSpeaker: Temita
 yo Olowu\n\nTemitayo Olowu is a Power and Control Systems Research Enginee
 r at INL. He has expertise in power\nsystems\, controls\, power electronic
 s\, and magnetics. He is experienced in the design and development of\ncon
 trol and optimization algorithms for power systems and power electronic co
 nverters\, coordinated\ncontrol of smart inverters\, energy storage\, elec
 tric vehicles (EVs)\, legacy voltage-control devices\, and digital\n\ncont
 rol design for renewable energy systems. He is proficient in finite elemen
 t analysis\, machine learning-\ncoupled multiphysics design optimization o
 f high-frequency magnetic components\, and design\n\noptimization of solid
  oxide electrolysis and fuel cell systems. His current research at INL foc
 uses on the\ndevelopment of intelligent control systems and optimization a
 lgorithms for integrated energy systems\, and\nhardware implementations.\n
