DESCRIPTION:Two Night Seminar Covering NFPA 70B & NFPA 70E – The Missing
Links\n\nThis course is geared towards practicing electrical\, control and
instrument engineers who perform engineering on facilities within the pro
cess industries.\n\nAbstract:\nNFPA 70B & NFPA 70E – The Missing Links\n
\nThe NEC (National Electrical Code) is widely recognized as the foundatio
nal code for the safe installation of electrical systems and equipment. Bu
t the initial installation is only the beginning of the life cycle of elec
trical equipment. There are two lesser-known standards\, NFPA 70B and NFPA
70E\, that outline how to safely operate and maintain the equipment after
it has been placed into service.\nIn these sessions we will focus on the
other two vital standards: NFPA 70E\, the Standard for Electrical Safety i
n the Workplace and NFPA 70B\, the Standard for Electrical Equipment Maint
enance. Attendees will develop a better understanding of how these NFPA st
andards are developed\, the structure and contents of the standards\, and
most importantly how they interact and build on each other to help ensure
that properly rated and installed equipment remains safe throughout its li
fe cycle.\n\nCo-sponsored by: Donald G. Dunn\, FIEEE\n\nSpeaker(s): Rodney
\n\nAgenda: \n5:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Dinner Served to all registered attendees
.\n\n6:00 pm - 6:15 pm: Annoucements\n\n6:15 pm - 8:30 pm: Presentation\n\
