ayana Merugu (Ex-Chair\, IEEE MTT Hyderabad Chapter)\, and Prof. Harshavar
dhini (Chair\, IEEE WIE Hyderabad Chapter) will lead official inauguration
s of newly formed IEEE chapters at the university. This milestone moment w
ill also include the felicitation of eminent educators: Prof. Kalluri Rama
linga Sarma (Ex-IIT Kanpur) and Prof. G. Bhuvaneswari (IEEE Fellow\; Ex-II
T Delhi)\, honoring their outstanding contributions to education and engin
eering. An executive lunch will follow\, offering invited guests an opport
unity to network and celebrate shared goals.\n\nA campus tour will provide
visitors with a glimpse into Mahindra University’s cutting-edge researc
h centers\, innovation hubs\, libraries\, and laboratories. This unique wi

cting IEEE’s commitment to inclusion. A workshop track will cover quantu
m computing and robotics\, offering hands-on exposure to two of the most t
ransformative areas of modern science. This track will culminate in a thou
ght-provoking expert session by Prof. Jayasri Dontabhaktuni.\n\nTo foster
creativity and community engagement\, a series of art\, quiz\, and sustain
ability drives will be conducted in parallel. Coordinated primarily by fem
ale volunteers\, these activities will include a themed quiz competition\,
photography and painting showcasing ideas of sustainability\, eco-friendl
iness\, women’s safety\, and workplace health. The campus community will
also participate in a university campus cleaning drive\, underscoring the
responsibility of engineers as role models for environmental stewardship.
Volunteers will recognize and reward the efforts of the female cleaning s
taff\, ensuring inclusivity and appreciation. A spirited cycling event is
also planned\, encouraging fitness and symbolizing unity in collective act
ion.\n\nThe closing segment of the program begins with the valedictory ses
sion\, where participants and winners will receive certificates\, marking
their achievements. In line with the theme\, all gifts are designed to be
eco-friendly\, with efforts evaluated through a sustainability score of 3.
8 out of 5\, reflecting the university’s dedication to measurable impact
. The day will conclude on a celebratory note with refreshments\, sustaina
ble snacks\, and engaging IEEE-themed stalls\, giving participants more op
portunities to connect\, reflect\, and celebrate the spirit of engineering
.\n\nIEEE Day 2025 at Mahindra University will stand out not just as an ac
