  of technical standards\, with focus on mobile communication standards. It
  will provide an in-depth look into the mobile standardisation ecosystem\,
  and the 3GPP standardisation process\, before outlining specific examples
  showing various trade-offs in decisions on whether or not to standardise 
 a certain aspect of a communications system. The talk will conclude with a
  look at the recently started 6G work in 3GPP\, with focus on RAN aspects.
