DESCRIPTION:The webinar “Codecrack with SkillRack – Tips & Tricks for B
eginners” was successfully organized by the IEEE Reliability Society of
Sri Sairam Engineering College on 4th October 2025. The event aimed to pro
vide students\, especially beginners\, with practical strategies to streng
then their coding skills\, improve logical thinking\, and make effective u
se of Skill Rack for placement preparation and technical growth. The sessi
on began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the speaker\, Mr. Arun
S\, a final-year CSBS student and Skill Rack Top Performer who has secure
d a placement as a Software Engineer Trainee at Mr. Cooper.\n\nThe speaker
emphasized the importance of competitive programming\, stating that regul
ar problem-solving helps students enhance logical and analytical skills\,
improve time management\, and build structured approaches for technical in
terviews. He introduced Skill Rack as a platform that not only allows topi
c-wise practice in arrays\, loops\, functions\, strings\, recursion\, and
data structures but also fosters a competitive environment through leaderb
oards and timed challenges. The platform’s support for multiple programm
ing languages such as C\, C++\, Java\, and Python allows students to gain
flexibility and proficiency based on their interests. In sharing his perso
nal strategy for skill improvement\, Arun encouraged students to begin wit
h basic problems and gradually move on to medium and hard-level challenges
. He highlighted that maintaining a daily streak is more impactful than so
lving a large number of problems irregularly. He advised students to thoro
ughly understand problem statements and test cases\, focus on writing opti
mized and clean code\, and learn from others by reviewing different soluti
on approaches. He also shared practical tips\, such as completing Skill Ra
ck foundation modules regularly\, participating in contests to build time-
bound problem-solving skills\, and effectively using the debugging feature
to trace and fix errors. He stressed revisiting fundamental concepts like
 loops\, arrays\, strings\, recursion\, and data structures to strengthen
core problem-solving abilities.\n\nThe session also highlighted how coding
is relevant to all engineering students\, not just those in computer scie
nce. Logical thinking and problem-solving skills gained through coding hel
p students prepare for placements\, internships\, and technical exams like
GATE. Skill Rack also allows students to build a portfolio of solved prob
lems that can be showcased during interviews\, encouraging peer competitio
n and discipline. The session concluded with a vote of thanks and the pres
entation of a virtual memento to the speaker in appreciation of his valuab
le contribution. Students were encouraged to practice coding daily\, take
part in contests\, and develop a structured practice routine. The event su
ccessfully achieved its objective of motivating students to pursue coding
excellence through consistent effort and competitive learning.\n\nSpeaker(
