DESCRIPTION:[]\n\nIEEE Day 2025 at KDU was celebrated with great enthusiasm
  and concluded with a memorable Closing Ceremony\, held at the Auditorium 
 of the Faculty of Graduate Studies\, KDU. The event brought together an in
 spiring lineup of distinguished guests\, meaningful discussions\, and reco
 gnition of the achievements made throughout the IEEE Day celebrations.\n\n
 The ceremony commenced with an engaging Panel Discussion featuring three e
 minent speakers:\n\n- Prof. S. Vasanthapriyan\, Chair\, IEEE Sri Lanka Sec
 tion\n\n- Mr. Kavinga Upul Ekanayaka\, Treasurer\, IEEE Sri Lanka Section\
 n\n- Mr. Heshan Mallawaarachchi\, Chair\, IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lan
 ka\n\nThe session was skillfully moderated by Ms. Tharaka Munasinghe\, Sec
 retary\, IEEE SIGHT Sri Lanka. The discussion centered around the theme 
 “Bridging the Gap between Academia and Industry with IEEE.”\n\nThis se
 ssion provided valuable insights for undergraduates on how to take their f
 irst steps into the professional world\, understand the challenges faced b
 y fresh graduates\, and recognize the vital role IEEE plays in supporting 
 students during this transition. The speakers also highlighted the opportu
 nities within IEEE that help strengthen the connection between academia an
 d industry while enhancing students’ technical and professional growth.\
 n\nThe second main highlight of the event was an inspiring Guest Session c
 onducted by Mr. Thilina Samarasinghe\, a proud KDU alumnus. He shared his 
 personal success story\, emphasizing the importance of perseverance\, dedi
 cation\, and consistency in achieving one’s goals. His motivational word
 s encouraged students to give their utmost effort in every pursuit and to 
 remain focused on continuous self-development.\n\nIn addition to these ses
 sions\, the ceremony also featured the Prize Giving for the winners of the
  IEEE Day 2025 Treasure Hunt. The excitement and enthusiasm of the partici
 pants added a joyful spirit to the event.\n\nFurthermore\, the Student Bra
 nch Counsellor delivered an insightful speech reflecting on the progress a
 nd impact of the IEEE Student Branch of KDU\, while the IEEE Day 2025 Amba
 ssador at KDU shared remarks on how the KDU celebration aligned with the g
