DESCRIPTION:Introduction:\nF.A.I.L 2025 (First Attempt in Innovative Learni
ng) is a flagship event by the BEC-IEEE Student Branch for first-year stud
ents. The event focused on introducing students to professional skills\, d
igital tools\, and innovative learning through teamwork and mentorship.\n\
nObjectives:\n• Introduce first-year students to essential digital and p
rofessional tools.\n• Encourage teamwork\, collaboration\, and mentorshi
p.\n• Provide hands-on experience with tools like Canva\, LinkedIn\, Not
ion\, Discord\, Notebook LM\, and Napkin AI.\n• Enhance networking\, com
munication\, and problem-solving skills.\n• Help students develop skills
that will support them throughout their engineering studies.\n\nBrief Des
cription\nF.A.I.L 2025 was a two-day immersive learning experience for fir
st-year students\, combining workshops\, interactive sessions\, and mentor
ship. The event began with an inaugural function on 11th October\, attende
d by distinguished guests:\n• Prof. Abhishek Deshmukh (Chair\, IEEE NKSS
)\n• Dr. Sangamesh Y. Goudappanavar (Branch Counselor\, BEC-IEEE SB)\n
• Dr. B. F. Ronad (Treasurer\, IEEE NKSS)\n• Prof. Mahantesh Chikkades
ai (Co-Chair SAC\, IEEE NKSS)\n• Dr. Vijayalakshmi S. Jigajinni (WIE & R
AS Faculty Advisor)\nDay 1 – 11th October 2025\nThe first day focused on
foundational professional skills and team bonding:\n• Report Writing &
Email Etiquette: Participants learned structured report writing and profe
ssional communication.\n• Canva Workshop: Students practiced designing
creative visuals and presentations.\n• LinkedIn : Guidance on creating p
rofessional profiles and networking effectively.\n• Networking & Ice-Br
eaking Activities: Fun activities were conducted to help students connect
with peers and mentors.\nParticipants were divided into 18 teams\, each gu
ided by 3 mentors\, promoting collaboration\, teamwork\, and problem-solvi
ng.\n\nDay 2 – 12th October 2025\nThe second day started with the Presen
tation Round held in the Gallery Hall\, where teams showcased their learni
ngs\, projects\, and ideas developed during the sessions. This was followe
d by a GitHub session\, introducing students to version control\, collabor
ative coding\, and project management using GitHub. tools that will be val
uable throughout their engineering journey:\n\n• Notion: Organized notes
\, managed projects\, and collaborated effectively and introduced advanced
digital tools and AI platforms\n• Discord: Learned communication and c
ommunity-building skills.\n• Notebook LM: Explored AI-assisted note-tak
ing and knowledge management.\n• Napkin AI: Practical AI tools to simpl
ify tasks\, improve productivity\, and support learning throughout the stu
dents’ engineering life.\nThe day concluded with a valedictory session\,
where prizes were awarded to outstanding teams. Closing remarks encourage
d students to apply the skills and tools learned during the event througho
ut their engineering journey.\n\nConclusion\nF.A.I.L 2025 successfully eng
aged 400+ first-year students over two days. The event introduced particip
ants to digital tools\, professional skills\, and innovative learning tech
niques while fostering teamwork\, mentorship\, and continuous learning. Th
