DESCRIPTION:As part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations\, the WIE IEEE-RITB C
hapter\, in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch\, Ramaiah Institute
of Technology\, successfully conducted a one-of-a-kind technical event ti
tled “Blinding Bytes: Code Beyond Sight!” on 17th October 2025. This o
ffline coding competition offered participants a thrilling test of logic\,
memory\, and communication under extreme constraints. With the innovative
concept of “monitor-off coding\,” teams of two were challenged to rel
y solely on their logical thinking and teamwork\, reinforcing the spirit o
f learning beyond boundaries that IEEE champions.\n\nThe competition compr
ised three uniquely designed rounds that progressively tested participants
’ adaptability and precision. The opening round\, “Syntax Shakedown\,
” assessed fundamental C programming knowledge as teams converted humoro
us pseudo-code written in LOLCode into valid C syntax while debugging mult
iple logic errors. The top 15 teams advanced to Round II: Phantom Debugger
s\, where they coded entirely blindfolded — monitors turned off — and
communicated using silent signals\, ensuring both members had to think and
code in perfect synchronization. The final round\, “Code Relic\,” was
the ultimate test of endurance and reasoning. The top 7 teams pieced toge
ther functional programs from fragmented paper snippets while solving ridd
les and enhancement tasks within a 40-minute limit.\n\nThe event attracted
60 participants from across departments\, creating an atmosphere of curio
sity\, laughter\, and friendly rivalry. Teams like VV\, Blitz\, and Bit Ba
ndits emerged victorious\, securing cash prizes worth ₹3\,000 in total.
The event was coordinated by Renya\, Sriya\, and Vidushi\, under the guida
nce of Ms. Parkavi A\, Faculty Coordinator\, WIE IEEE-RITB. Blinding Bytes
successfully blended fun and learning\, proving that coding is as much ab
out creativity and teamwork as it is about syntax. The event truly embodie
d the IEEE Day theme of Advancing Technology for Humanity by celebrating i
nnovation\, inclusivity\, and collaboration in the most unconventional way
  possible.\n\n[]\n\nAgenda: \nA team-based coding challenge testing logic\
, memory\, and teamwork by requiring participants to code with their monit
 ors turned off.\n\nRoom: CRD- 405 Lab\, Bldg: Multipurpose Block \, RIT\,
