DESCRIPTION:BMSCE IEEE SB on account of IEEE Day conducted Xtreme 101: A 10
-Day Bootcamp to Think\, Solve and Code like an Engineer as a prelude of I
EEEXtreme 19.0. Day 5 of the Xtreme 101: A 10-Day Bootcamp to Think\, Solv
e\, and Code like an Engineer\, featured a one-hour quiz hosted on the Hac
kerRank platform. The quiz consisted of three beginner-friendly coding que
stions worth a total of 100 points\, distributed as 20\, 30\, 50 points re
spectively \, designed to assess participants’ grasp of concepts discuss
ed in the previous sessions. These sessions covered topics such as the fou
ndations of competitive programming\, time and space complexity\, and esse
ntial data structures including arrays\, stacks\, queues\, and linked list
s.\n\nThe online format allowed participants to experience a real-time pro
blem-solving environment\, similar to that of global coding contests. Quer
ies were facilitated through Discord\, ensuring supportive experience for
all participants. The quiz encouraged students to apply the theoretical kn
owledge gained during earlier sessions in a hands-on\, time-bound scenario
.\n\nOutcomes: The quiz session effectively reinforced participants’ con
ceptual understanding and problem-solving skills while familiarizing them
with the competitive coding atmosphere of IEEEXtreme. It fostered logical
thinking\, time management\, and coding efficiency under pressure. The eve
nt also helped students identify their strengths and areas for improvement
\, motivating them to continue consistent practice ahead of the main compe
tition. Overall\, the session served as an engaging and practical step in
preparing participants for the challenges of global-level coding contests.
\n\nAgenda: \nTo evaluate participants' understanding of the core concepts
covered in the first four days of the bootcamp\, including problem-solvin
g strategies\, time and space complexity\, and fundamental data structures
\, through a practical coding quiz. The session aimed to reinforce learnin
g\, enhance logical thinking\, and simulate the competitive environment of
 IEEEXtreme\, a 24-hour global coding competition.\n\nVirtual: https://eve
