DESCRIPTION:Date: October 6\, 2025\nTime: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM\nVenue: GHSS
  Kottila\n---------------------------------------------------------------\
n\nIntroduction\n\nAs part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations\, IEEE SIGHT
AG GCEK\, in collaboration with the Little Kites club of GHSS Kottila\, or
ganized Robonest – Nurturing the Future of Robotics on October 6\, 2025.
\n\nThis STEM outreach program aimed to spark curiosity and creativity amo
ng high school students by introducing them to the fascinating world of ro
botics through interactive sessions and hands-on learning. Around 30 enthu
siastic members of the Little Kites club actively participated\, making th
e event both lively and impactful.\n--------------------------------------
 -------------------------\n\nHighlights of the Session\n\n-\nStudents were
introduced to the fundamentals of robotics and its real-world application
s.\n\n-\nThe core activity involved building a Line Follower Robot\, where
participants learned about sensors\, circuits\, and control logic.\n\n-\n
IEEE mentors guided students through step-by-step demonstrations\, encoura
ging experimentation and independent troubleshooting.\n\n-\nThe session pr
omoted teamwork and collaboration\, as students worked in small groups to
bring their robots to life.\n\n-\nThe interactive approach ensured that st
udents remained engaged and motivated throughout the session.\n\n---------
 ------------------------------------------------------\n\nOutcomes\n\nRobo
nest\, conducted as part of IEEE Day 2025\, proved to be a highly inspirin
g and educational experience for the participants. Instead of merely learn
ing theoretical concepts\, students gained practical understanding by desi
gning\, assembling\, and testing their own robots.\n\nThrough this activit
y\, they discovered how sensors\, circuits\, and programming integrate to
enable robotic motion and automation. The hands-on nature of the session f
ostered critical thinking and creativity\, while teamwork encouraged commu
nication and problem-solving skills.\n\nThe moment their robots successful
ly traced the line was filled with excitement and pride — a clear reflec
tion of their accomplishment. The experience not only strengthened their t
echnical foundation but also motivated them to explore the fields of robot
 ics\, electronics\, and STEM more deeply.\n\n-----------------------------
 ----------------------------------\n\nImpressions\n\nThe event received ov
erwhelmingly positive feedback from both students and teachers. Participan
ts expressed immense joy in watching their creations come to life and show
ed great interest in learning more about advanced robotics in the future.\
n\nTeachers appreciated the initiative for giving students practical expos
ure beyond classroom learning. They also commended the IEEE SIGHT AG GCEK
team for the engaging teaching style\, interactive demonstrations\, and st
udent-centered approach that made the workshop a success.\n\nOverall\, Rob
onest stood out as a memorable highlight of IEEE Day 2025\, successfully n
urturing young minds and inspiring the next generation of innovators and e
 ngineers.\n\nKannur\, Kerala\, India
