DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning 
 (AIML)\, in association with the IEEE Student Branch of HKBK College of En
 gineering\, organized an Interdepartmental Debate Competition on the theme
  “AI and the Future of Society: Humans vs AI – Who Decides?” on 13th
  October 2025 at Room D101.\n\nThe event began with an inaugural address i
 n the presence of Dr. Tabassum Ara\, HoD &amp; Professor\, Department of AIML\
 , and Dean–IIC\, HKBKCE.\n\nThe judging panel comprised:\n\n- Dr. Aryale
 kshmi\, Associate Professor\, Department of ECE\, HKBKCE\n- Dr. Vilashini\
 , Professor\, Department of CSE\, HKBKCE\n- Dr. Soumyolatha\, Assistant Pr
 ofessor (Senior Scale)\, Manipal Institute of Technology\n- Dr. Raveendra 
 G\, Associate Professor\, Department of ECE\, HKBKCE\n\nA total of 11 team
 s (5 participants per team) representing various departments participated 
 in the event. Each team debated on contemporary AI issues such as automati
 on\, creativity\, human control\, and ethics.\n\nThe first round featured 
 all 11 teams presenting their views under “Humans vs AI” perspectives\
 , followed by open cross-questioning.\nThe second round shortlisted the to
 p 6 teams based on clarity\, argument strength\, and originality.\nThe fin
 al round was an intense discussion focusing on “Ethics\, Employment\, an
 d Governance in the Age of AI\,” after which the winners were declared.\
