DESCRIPTION:As part of the IEEE Day 2025 Celebrations\, the IEEE Robotics a
nd Automation Society (RAS) Chapter at Vasavi College of Engineering organ
ized a Arduino Programming using Proteus workshop aimed to provide practic
al knowledge of circuit design\, coding and hardware interfacing concepts\
, which are essential for embedded systems and IoT-based applications.\n\n
The session was specifically designed to introduce students to the basics
of microcontroller programming\, circuit simulation\, and interfacing of e
lectronic components virtually before testing them on real hardware. The e
vent encouraged participants to explore various project ideas and innovati
ve approaches using Arduino and proteus software.\n\nThe workshop was offi
cially concluded on 17th October 2025\, as part of the IEEE Day celebrati
ons. Students from the 3rdsemester of ECE. Students actively participated
and interacted with the presenter\, showing great enthusiasm in learning a
bout microcontroller simulation and programming.\n\nA total of 40 students
attended the workshop. All participants actively took part in the practic
al sessions\, clarifying their doubts and showing keen interest in learnin
g the simulation techniques. The next session focused on Proteus Design Su
ite\, where participants were introduced to the interface\, schematic desi
gn tools\, and virtual components. The resource person demonstrated how to
connect Arduino boards within Proteus\, write sample codes\, and run simu
lations. Students learned how to simulate real-time operations\, such as L
ED blinking\, temperature sensor\, line follower robot.\n\nThe participant
s also performed hands-on tasks during the workshop\, where they created c
ircuits and verified their functionality using the simulation tool. Throug
h this interactive session\, students gained valuable exposure to coding\,
troubleshooting\, and circuit validation.\n\nEach topic was covered with
practical demonstrations and real-world examples to make the concepts more
understandable and engaging. Students actively interacted during each ste
p\, clarifying doubts and exploring how to integrate different sensors and
modules.\n\nStudent Participation and Outcomes :\n\nThe workshop witnesse
d active and enthusiastic participation from all attendees. Every student
got an opportunity to simulate circuits individually and gain hands-on exp
erience. The participants expressed great interest in continuing to explor
e embedded systems and IoT-based applications.\n\nBy the end of the sessio
n\, students were able to:\n\n- Write and compile Arduino programs confide
ntly.\n- Simulate Arduino-based circuits in Proteus without physical hardw
are.\n- Understand circuit behaviour and error correction techniques.\n\nT
he primary objective of the workshop was to familiarize students with:\n\n
The fundamentals of Arduino programming and its architecture. Simulation o
f electronic circuits using Proteus software. Understanding how Arduino bo
ards interact with different sensors and output devices. Building confiden
ce among students to design\, test\, and debug circuits virtually. Encoura
ging innovation and experimentation in embedded systems design.\n\nSignifi
cance of the Workshop :\n\nThis initiative helped the students develop a p
roblem-solving mindset and gain exposure to industry-relevant tools. The e
xperience gained through Proteus simulation and Arduino programming will u
ndoubtedly support their future academic projects\, internships\, and rese
arch pursuits.\n\nRoom: J 303\, Bldg: JC Bose Block\, Vasavi College of En
